A fine, interesting and early carved and inscribed folk art cane, with deeply carved inscriptions around the shaft and fitted with a matching wooden tau-shaped handle - the shaft with fine spiral carving above and below the inscription, which reads "1875 MR RICHAD [sic] MULLARD BORN APRIL 19 1833 AT BUDLEY WORCESTERSHIRE FOREMAN PLATE LAYER PRESENTED BY A FELLOW WORKMAN"
