A rare early 19th century cane with a fine cast brass tau-shaped handle - the long terminal modelled with the head of a bearded man, the central section of the handle with raised patterns, possibly resembling a saddle - the handle mounted directly onto a slim malacca shaft with a ringed eyelet for a silk cord and finished with a metal ferrule
