A good example of an 18th century French porcelain Chantily handled cane - the handle moulded as a bearded man's head, with a long hood forming the crook of the handle - further decoration on the white ground of the hood of a bust of a Lady, and a horned sea monster's head at the terminal - the handle fitted with a typical fretted early silver collar onto a mid brown malacca shaft finished with a brass and steel ferrule
