A fine system "Cigarette Case & Matchsafe" cane - the silver knopp handle with a hinged lid (with hallmarks and "PATENT No 2048" engraved inside) that opens to reveal a tube within the cane shaft for holding cigarettes, which can be pulled up to allow two side-holders for matches to appear on either side of the central tube - the handle mounted on a thick brown malacca shaft finished with its original brass ferrule
